To support our international growth strategy, we are looking for a highly experienced and driven Sr. Business Development Manager – International Markets to lead our global client acquisition efforts, expand our footprint across key markets, and build strategic, long-term partnerships within the language services ecosystem.
Role Overview
This is a senior-level position for a proven sales and business development leader with a deep understanding of international B2B sales and the language services industry. You will be responsible for identifying and closing new opportunities with international clients—particularly other LSPs, MLVs, and global enterprises—and for managing these relationships for long-term success and growth.
Responsibilities
International Sales and Business Development
- Identify, engage, and convert high-value B2B prospects across global markets, with a focus on language service providers (LSPs), MLVs, and corporates with localization needs.
- Design and execute region-specific go-to-market strategies for target territories such as North America, Europe, and APAC.
- Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation and pitch development to negotiation and closure.
Strategic Account Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, service excellence, and ongoing value delivery.
- Conduct regular client business reviews and propose tailored solutions to support their growth objectives.
- Drive account expansion through upselling, cross-selling, and long-term retention strategies.
Partnership and Ecosystem Development
- Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with other LSPs, regional providers, and industry platforms to extend service capabilities and reach.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and co-delivery to drive shared business growth.
Sales Strategy and Reporting
- Track pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and report performance metrics to leadership on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM data, including contacts, opportunities, and engagement history.
- Analyze market trends and client feedback to inform service innovation and operational alignment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of new international clients onboarded per quarter
- Sales revenue generated (quarterly/annually)
- Client retention and satisfaction scores
- Average deal size and sales cycle duration
- Number and quality of strategic partnerships established
- CRM usage compliance and reporting accuracy
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years in B2B sales, business development, or strategic account management
- Experience in the language services industry or localization technology/SaaS is highly preferred
- Demonstrated success in closing international deals valued at $50K+ annually
- Strong network within the LSP, MLV, or global enterprise space
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent
- Ability to work independently across time zones with a remote team structure
- English fluency required; additional languages are a plus
