Role Description
The Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of subtitling projects across multiple languages, ensuring successful execution across planning, coordination, and delivery. This role is responsible for managing project timeline, resources, budgets, and risks while maintaining clear communication between internal teams, freelancers, and clients. To thrive in this position, strong communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential. To ability to multitask and maintain focus in a dynamic environment is key to delivering high-quality results on time.
1. Project Planning and Execution:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of subtitling projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as dubbing, access, and media processing when needed to define project requirements and establish project workflows.
2. Client Communication and Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding subtitling projects, managing client expectations, and addressing project-related inquiries and concerns.
- Cultivate positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Allocate resources, including personnel, tools, and technology, to optimize project efficiency and meet project requirements within budget constraints.
- Manage vendor and freelance translator communications.
4. Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery and develop proactive mitigation strategies to address them.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the project plan, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure project success.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate regular progress reports, project status updates, and other project documentation to communicate project status, milestones, and key metrics to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and archives for future reference and auditing purposes.
6. Process Improvement and Strategic Support:
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and task forces aimed at improving subtitling workflows, operational efficiency, or service quality.
- Support ad-hoc tasks and special projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to overall team and organizational goals.
- Contribute ideas and feedback for continuous improvement and innovation in project management processes, tools, and practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in subtitling, localization, or media production.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with international teams and clients.
- Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
