The Role
In 2024, Kyndryl launched The Kyndryl Institute – a ‘thought leadership’ initiative designed to convene expert and eminent perspectives on topics that matter for business executives.
The Kyndryl Institute produces forward-thinking content pieces from academics, executives, and domain SMEs at the intersection of business and technology. Besides monthly content, The Kyndryl Institute also produces a bi-annual journal, and will imminently launch a dedicated app.
This role is expected to have a deep understanding of Japan market and what appeals to customers based in Japan. S/He can make a judgment what needs to be translate/contextualized as well.
Overall, the initiative is designed to help build greater brand permission and authority for Kyndryl, and develop deep, trusted relationships with C-Level stakeholders beyond IT.
This role will support the establishment and success of The Kyndryl Institute in Japan, working closely with the global team to:
・Deeply understand of the aims and objectives of The Kyndryl Institute and how this supports overall business growth
・Educate local stakeholders about The Kyndryl Institute – what it is, how it works, and how content can be leveraged to build customer trust and permission
・Provide translation and contextualization for content from The Kyndryl Institute for the Japanese market
・Suggest editorial contributors based on relevant themes, industries, and broader selection criteria
・Work with the local Marketing and Communications teams to build derivative assets and activate core content in the local market as part of wider campaigns
・Champion communication and enablement to ensure local sales and client partner teams know about latest content and are equipped to use it in their customer engagements
・Help provide the interlock between content and activities from The Kyndryl Institute and local programs such as Executive Circle
・Oversee the creation of any local assets to ensure quality and consistency with The Kyndryl Institute brand
・Manage relevant local agencies for content / editorial / messaging / translation / production etc
・Project manage any other relevant tasks/responsibilities in establishing The Kyndryl Institute in Japan
・Provide feedback to the global team to help strengthen the overall program
・Be an ambassador for The Kyndryl Institute across the organisation
・Help identify and support named Consult SME eminence – complementing Institute messaging, and furthering reach

Required Skills And Experience
- 3+ years of experience in researching domestic and international technology trends and writing analytical reports, ideally within the intelligence division of a consulting firm, a think tank, or a technology research department of a business enterprise
- 3 years of experience in utilizing intelligence to support consulting engagements or executive-level decision-making
- Background in Business Analytics
- Skilled in gathering and synthesizing data, conducting market research, and developing actionable insights and recommendations
- A deep understanding of business operations, industry dynamics, and market trends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with customers, delivering presentations, and preparing reports
- Native Japanese Proficiency
- Business professional proficiency in English
Preferred Skills And Experience
・Experience in technical translation and localization
・Experience in planning and launching new business initiatives
・Project management experience
