Position: Javanese Language Specialist
Type: Contractual
Compensation: $45 – $95/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Translate and localize documents, content, and communications to and from Javanese with cultural and contextual accuracy.
- Conduct linguistic reviews and quality assurance to maintain the highest standards of language use.
- Support cross-functional teams by providing expert advice on Javanese language nuances.
- Develop, edit, and proofread written materials in Javanese for various projects.
- Participate in the creation of glossaries, style guides, and best practices for Javanese language projects.
- Deliver clear verbal and written communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Have fluency and native-level proficiency in Javanese, with a strong grasp of regional dialects and variations.
- Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Javanese and English.
- Have demonstrated experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance.
- Possess a deep cultural understanding and sensitivity specific to Javanese-speaking communities.
- Exhibit excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
