Job Description –
- Translate documents, presentations, and technical materials from Japanese to English and vice versa
- Provide real-time interpretation support during meetings, client discussions, and workshops
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, and business stakeholders
- Ensure accuracy and cultural relevance in translations, especially for automotive-related content
- Support documentation for automotive projects such as manuals, specifications, and reports
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese and strong command of English
- Proven experience as a Translator/Interpreter
- Prior experience in the automotive domain is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of technical terminology (automotive/engineering preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers
- Certification in Japanese language proficiency (e.g., JLPT N1/N2)
Prior experience in IT/engineering translation is an added advantage
