English to Korean Language Quality Manager – Public Sector

Role responsibilities

  • Collaborate with client’s various internal teams and stakeholders to produce, measure and maintain content translation quality and effective translation memory management.
  • Translate and review various formats of relevant industry content to ensure they are culturally and linguistically appropriate for target audience. Proofread and edit localized materials to ensure accuracy, consistency and high quality.
  • Provide feedback on the translation quality via LQA scorecards, add meaningful and concise feedback on corrections. Provide additional support to localization teams, including query management and creation and sharing of additional instructions and guidelines as needed.
  • Maintain linguistic assets, identify areas for their improvement and proactively propose updates

Requirements

  • Strong linguistic background with 5+ years of experience working in localization industry – reviewer or language lead roles
  • Deep understanding of public sector field, industry standard terminology and the appropriate tone of voice
  • Extensive experience in translating, editing and proofreading of legal texts, documentation, websites, reports and other materials related to the public sector
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring that the target translation is above all: Error-free, Compliant with the client’s terminology and style guide, Naturally flowing in the target language

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in linguistics/philology/translation/technical communications and/or equivalent experience
  • Phrase CAT tool
  • Familiar with Salesforce
