Bilingual Content Editor – TV & Streaming Metadata

Role Summary

We’re looking for a bilingual (Arabic/English) Content Editor to write, translate, and quality-check the descriptions, titles, and editorial copy that appear across our TV channels and streaming platforms. You’ll make sure every show, movie, and series reads naturally and accurately in both languages — so audiences can find and understand content no matter which language they browse in. You’ll also help manage the schedules and systems that get this content published on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, update, and maintain program schedules, metadata, synopses, genres, ratings, artwork, and promotional copy in both Arabic and English.
  • Proofread and quality-check Arabic-language copy, including correct right-to-left display, grammar, and tone.
  • Adapt English-language content metadata for Arabic-speaking audiences and territories (and vice versa), keeping cultural context in mind.
  • Maintain and update program schedules, episode/series information, and content details across linear TV channels and streaming (SVOD) platforms.
  • Coordinate with Programming, Marketing, Localization, and Digital teams to make sure content copy and schedules go out accurate and on time.
  • Learn and work within our scheduling/publishing systems (EPG tools, CMS) .
  • Handle last-minute schedule changes, live event updates, and urgent content corrections.
  • Support new title launches, seasonal campaigns, and special programming with fresh, accurate copy.
  • Track and report on copy quality and coverage across languages.
  • Suggest ways to speed up or improve the review/editing workflow.
  • Ensure EPG accuracy, consistency, and completeness across multiple platforms, territories, and distribution partners.

Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience in translation, copywriting, editing, journalism, localization, or content writing (media/entertainment experience a plus, not required).
  • Fluent in Arabic and English — strong written skills in both are essential.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills; comfortable catching grammar, tone, and cultural nuance issues.
  • Comfortable learning new software tools and systems (CMS, scheduling/publishing platforms).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize under pressure.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills.
  • French reading/writing is a strong plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with TV, streaming (OTT/SVOD), or digital media content.
  • Familiarity with content management systems or metadata tools.
  • Understanding of Arabic localization and RTL text formatting.
