Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Japanese Translator role based in Japan. The Japanese Translator will translate written content between Japanese and English for technical documentation, product interfaces, marketing materials, and internal communications. Daily tasks include reviewing and localizing software-related texts, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness, and maintaining consistent terminology across projects. The role also involves collaborating with development, design, and marketing teams to clarify context, support effective communication, and occasionally assist with live or virtual interpreting in meetings. The translator will contribute to continuous improvement of translation workflows and maintain quality standards aligned with Renesis Tech’s brand and technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Japanese Translation and general Translation, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical materials.
- Advanced skills in Japanese-to-English translation, including a nuanced understanding of terminology and style for different audiences.
- Experience with interpreting in meetings or calls, supporting real-time communication between Japanese- and English-speaking stakeholders.
- Near-native fluency in Japanese and strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with software development or IT environments, including common technical terms and concepts.
