Role Description This is a full-time remote role for Armenian-speaking interpreters at GLOBO Language Solutions. In this role, interpreters will facilitate real-time communication between Armenian speakers and English speakers via phone and video, primarily in healthcare, legal, educational, and government settings. Daily tasks include accurately conveying messages between parties, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to professional standards and ethics. Interpreters will use GLOBO’s secure technology platforms, follow client-specific protocols, and document sessions as required. The role also involves continuous improvement of language skills, staying familiar with sector-specific terminology, and participating in training or feedback sessions as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Armenian and English, with the ability to interpret accurately and fluently in both directions.
- Clear, professional communication skills, including active listening and the ability to remain neutral and unbiased.
- Experience or familiarity with interpreting in healthcare, legal, education, or government settings is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with using remote communication technologies, including phone and video platforms, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently in a remote environment, and handle confidential information responsibly.
- Prior interpreting or translation experience, or relevant training/certification in interpreting, is preferred.
- High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse populations.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace suitable for remote interpreting.
