Role Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Editor fluent in both German and English to join our team at ARMEVA. In this role, you’ll be responsible for reviewing, editing, and refining content to ensure linguistic accuracy, clarity, and consistency across both languages. You’ll collaborate closely with our content, development, and marketing teams to maintain high editorial standards in all communications.
Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread content in both German and English to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, tone, and consistency
- Ensure translated and localized content reflects the original meaning and style accurately
- Review a variety of content types including technical documentation, marketing copy, website content, and more
- Provide constructive feedback to writers and translators to improve overall content quality
- Conduct final checks before publishing or distribution to ensure a polished and professional result
- Stay up-to-date with language trends, editing best practices, and industry terminology in both languages
Qualifications
- Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)
- Proven experience as an Editor, Proofreader, Translator, or in a similar language-focused role
- Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style rules in both languages
- Ability to adapt tone and language to suit various content types and target audiences
- Familiarity with translation/localization processes is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in using editing tools and content management systems
- Experience in SEO & digital marketing (a plus but not required)
- A degree in Languages, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field is preferred
