Role Description
This is a contract role for a Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) Tester. The LQA Tester will be responsible for ensuring the localization quality of our games by identifying linguistic and cultural issues, conducting linguistic testing, and providing feedback for improvements. Daily task will entail reviewing and proofreading all translated text for spelling, grammar, punctuation and linguistic fluency, maintaining consistency in terminology for game mechanics, in-game items, storyline, etc. and verifying that text fits properly in the interface and adjusting for language expansion or contraction. This is a hybrid role located in São Paulo, SP, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in linguistic quality assurance, localization testing, and cultural sensitivity
- Experience with identifying and resolving linguistic issues in game content
- Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading and editing skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams
- Proficiency in Spanish is a must
- Proficiency in Portuguese is required
- Familiarity with gaming industry standards and trends
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a hybrid work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related field is preferred
