We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and bilingual (English-Spanish) Workflow Coordinator to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have a passion for language, efficiency, and delivering top-tier client service, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
As a Bilingual Workflow Coordinator, you will be the backbone of our translation and localization projects, ensuring seamless operations, on-time deliveries, and exceptional quality. Your role will require a blend of organization, communication, and problem-solving skills to coordinate between translators, editors, clients, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination:
- Oversee the end-to-end workflow of translation projects, from request intake to final delivery.
- Assign work to translators, editors, and desktop publishers, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Monitor project timelines and troubleshoot delays proactively.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Maintain excellent client relationships, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries.
- Work closely with the sales, quality assurance, and technology teams to enhance service efficiency.
- Quality & Process Optimization:
- Ensure translations adhere to Plain Language Guidelines (PLG) and meet our high standards.
- Implement best practices for quality control, terminology management, and translation technology (Trados, CAT tools).
- Continuously seek ways to improve workflow processes to enhance speed and efficiency.
- Hybrid Work Model:
- This position is hybrid, requiring at least one day per week in the office to foster culture, collaboration, and professional growth.
What You Bring to the Table
We are looking for a detail-oriented, resourceful, and proactive leader with a passion for languages, organization, and technology.
Required Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Language Studies, or a related field – OR – 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Bilingual Proficiency: Strong and proven English and Spanish language skills (spoken & written).
- Project Management Skills: Ability to handle multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage workflows effectively.
- Excellent Communication: Clear, professional, and proactive in both written and verbal interactions.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to anticipate roadblocks, think critically, and find solutions.
- Team Player: Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience with CAT tools (Trados preferred), project management software, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality control, consistency, and client requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the language services, localization, or translation industry.
- Knowledge of Plain Language Guidelines and readability best practices.
- Understanding of DTP (Desktop Publishing) and file formatting.
- Familiarity with federal contracts and translation compliance requirements.
