Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an articulate and strategic Content Writer with German to join the Scalefocus team and play a pivotal role in accelerating our growth in the DACH region. If you have a sharp pen, a flair for storytelling, and the cultural know-how to localize content for German-speaking audiences, we want to hear from you.
Reporting to the Content Manager, this role combines creative writing with strategic localization, audience insight, and social media growth hacking, particularly on LinkedIn. You’ll shape how Scalefocus communicates in German and help us establish a strong, authentic voice in the region.
Key responsibilities
- Shape the voice of Scalefocus in German – develop and localize messaging that resonates with our DACH audiences across digital channels.
- Translate and localize existing English-language content into compelling, culturally adapted German materials, ensuring tone and messaging alignment.
- Lead the content track of our German LinkedIn page launch – craft content strategy, calendar, tone of voice, and execute to consistently grow engagement and followers.
- Create high-impact content tailored to different buyer personas and customer journey stages: landing pages, whitepapers, thought leadership articles, case studies, blog posts, ad copy, video scripts, and more.
- Stay on top of the latest advancements in GenAI, chatbots, and AI-powered search, and understand how these are reshaping the user search journey. Translate this understanding into a forward-looking content strategy that ensures Scalefocus content remains discoverable, engaging, and relevant in evolving digital environments.
- Perform ongoing market and competitor research to identify content opportunities, gaps, and localization needs.

- You’re fluent in both German and English, and skilled at adapting tone, terminology, and cultural context.
- You have excellent writing skills and can create content that engages diverse audiences.
- You’re enthusiastic about building an effective content presence on social media platforms like LinkedIn.
- You apply intelligence, wit, and heart to make complex services and value propositions understandable, relatable, and deeply relevant to local audiences.
- You follow industry trends and spot opportunities for timely, relevant content.
- You can work independently but love collaborating cross-functionally across teams.
- You’re passionate about storytelling, curious by nature, and a fast learner.
Qualifications
- Fluency in German and English.
- Minimum 2 years of writing experience, ideally within the German market and the IT industry.
- Proven ability to write and localize content that connects with German-speaking audiences and aligns with local cultural and business expectations.
- Experience managing social media content strategies, preferably on LinkedIn.
- Ability to spot content trends early and propose agile adjustments to LinkedIn content calendars for maximum relevance and impact.
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with a proactive mindset.
Nice to have (but not mandatory):
- SEO and keyword research experience, understanding of the GEO trends and best practices (German/English).
- Familiarity with tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs and AI-assisted content development and optimization tools.
- Deep understanding of the LinkedIn platform – including audience segmentation, post-performance analysis, and engagement optimization.
- Experience in marketing of B2B IT services.
- Strong portfolio showcasing long-form and short-form content – ideally including localized materials, whitepapers, blog posts, and social content.
- University degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism.
