Copywriter

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and adapt content in Arabic and English across a wide range of formats, including e-commerce websites, product descriptions, brand storytelling, social media captions, campaign headlines, press releases, corporate and B2B materials, newsletters, blog posts, catalogues, and editorial features.
  • Translate and localize content from English to Arabic (and vice versa) with sensitivity to cultural nuance, accuracy, and tone of voice.
  • Ensure clarity, consistency, and brand alignment in all bilingual content across touchpoints.
  • Edit and proofread all written materials for grammar, tone, formatting, and language flow.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, PR, digital, and e-commerce teams to ensure cohesive messaging across platforms.
  • Adapt messaging to suit different audiences, purposes, and platforms while maintaining brand guidelines.
  • Support content planning for seasonal campaigns, product launches, and group-wide initiatives.
  • Help maintain internal glossaries, tone-of-voice guidelines, and brand-specific phrasing.
  • Ensure timely delivery of assigned content under tight deadlines and across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, linguistic developments, and consumer communication preferences in both languages.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, English Language, English Literature, or a related field (required).
  • 1–3 years of experience in bilingual copywriting, translation, or editorial content development.
  • Strong command of written Arabic and English with the ability to write clearly, creatively, and accurately in both.
  • Familiarity with tone-of-voice adaptation, localization best practices, and regional audience engagement.
  • Experience in retail, fashion, lifestyle, digital media, or e-commerce is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple content requests while meeting quality and timeline expectations.

Portfolio Requirement:

Applicants must submit a portfolio with writing samples in both Arabic and English. Examples may include product copy, campaign messaging, press releases, editorial content, or translated work.
