Fluently is part of the THG Ingenuity family. It provides a range of language services, including translation, interpreting, localisation, voice-overs, transcription, and multilingual search engine optimisation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end interpreting projects:
- Collaborate with clients to define the project scope, including the languages involved, the interpreting needed (consecutive, simultaneous, etc.), and the expected outcomes
- Identifying and securing qualified interpreters, considering factors such as linguistic proficiency, subject matter expertise, and cultural awareness
- Budgeting and resource allocation
- Effective logistics management (venue, equipment, etc.)
- Manage end-to-end localization projects, should it be required
- Ensure effective client communication, keeping them informed about project progress, potential challenges, and any adjustments that may be necessary
- Building and maintaining relationships with interpreters
- Implement measures to monitor linguistic accuracy throughout the interpreting projects (continuous feedback mechanisms, post-project evaluations)
- Support the client’s team with a variety of projects and tasks depending on current business opportunities and global capacity
- Manage complex multilingual interpreting projects involving a variety of services independently, within budget and to client expectations
- Support the client’s Sales team from an operational perspective to deliver a seamless service to prospects and clients, including project planning and costing
- Source the most appropriately skilled interpreters, linguists or suppliers
- Use project management, interpreting or translation management software
- Offer advice, trouble shoot and act as subject matter expert on your team
- Build and contribute to client guides and workflow documentation
- Coordinate interpreting bookings in compliance with client’s ISO quality management system
- Meet fulfilment KPIs and personal targets
- Ensure administration tasks are up to date
Essential Requirements Of The Position
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience with interpreting or localisation project coordination or project management related tasks
- Prior additional experience in interpreting and translation roles is a plus
- Language studies is a plus
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills and the ability to handle pressure when high volumes and delivering to tight deadlines
- Competence in using industry specific tools and productivity technology with the ability to learn new technologies and programs quickly
- Willingness to adapt to interpreting workflows if you do not possess prior experience managing interpreting projects
- Prior evidence of fast learning of workflows and tasks
- Competence in managing projects and tasks involving a variety of services and complex workflows
- Proven competence in project planning, resource and risk management
- Friendly and credible personality who inspires trust in clients and partners
