Italian Language Expert Work Snapshot

Roles & Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate AI-generated Italian-language responses for accuracy, clarity, reasoning quality, and adherence to prompts
- Identify and correct errors related to grammar, semantics, pragmatics, tone, meaning, methodology, and localization consistency
- Provide detailed, actionable feedback and write high-quality explanations and model revisions demonstrating correct linguistic approaches
- Compare and rank multiple AI responses based on correctness, fluency, contextual relevance, and reasoning quality
- Create detailed prompts and training content to improve multilingual AI performance and natural language generation
- Apply style guides, terminology standards, and tone consistency across different audiences and communication contexts
- Fact-check information and ensure outputs remain culturally and linguistically appropriate for Italian locales
- Test AI systems for inaccuracies, ambiguity, bias, and language inconsistencies across use cases
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor s degree or higher in Linguistics, Italian, Translation/Localization, Communications, or a related field
- Native or near-native Italian proficiency (C2 preferred) with strong English proficiency (C1 or above), and additional multilingual ability considered a plus
- Strong expertise in Italian grammar, morphosyntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse-level editing, and register adaptation across formal and conversational contexts
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify meaning drift, ambiguity, locale inconsistencies, and subtle linguistic errors while explaining corrections clearly
- Experience applying style guides, terminology management, copyediting standards, and localization practices for multilingual communication
- Reliable and self-directed work style with the ability to maintain high-quality output in remote contractor workflows across time zones, with prior experience in AI data training, editorial QA, translation/localization QA, or professional editing strongly preferred
