Role Description
This is a freelance, remote role for a Latvian Translator and Proofreader. You will be responsible for translating a variety of content—from lesson creation to app localization—from English to Latvian, ensuring high-quality, linguistically accurate, and natural translations through careful proofreading and review.
You’ll work with UI text, lesson materials, and short dialogues, ensuring that all content sounds native, clear, and consistent for Latvian-speaking users.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate app content, dialogues, and lesson materials from English to Latvian
- Proofread and edit translations for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and tone
- Ensure consistency in terminology, voice, and linguistic style across content
- Provide cultural and linguistic localization to maintain overall content quality
Qualifications
- Native-level fluency in Latvian
- Excellent English proficiency (C1–C2 level preferred)
- Proven experience in translating and proofreading content from English to Latvian
- Strong command of grammar, spelling, and stylistic nuances in both languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working on freelance platforms or as an independent service provider is a plus
