About the Role
As a GCO Project Manager, you will manage a variety of media localisation projects, helping to ensure excellent client service, client retention and project profitability.
You will oversee multilingual translation, voice-over, dubbing and subtitling projects for entertainment clients worldwide. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage several priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You will communicate with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep projects on schedule, within budget and aligned with VSI’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from receiving the initial brief through planning, scheduling, budgeting, production, quality control, client delivery, invoicing, and post-project review.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within the agreed budget and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor project finances closely, including budgets, invoices, change orders and profitability.
- Provide operational support to Sales and Account Management during the quotation stage where required.
- Develop a thorough understanding of VSI’s services so you can advise clients appropriately and identify potential cross-selling opportunities.
- Prepare project reports for Account Managers and the Head of Department as required.
- Arrange and lead production meetings or conference calls with clients for complex projects.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Resolve client and supplier issues using sound judgement, escalating matters to the line manager where appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve projects, client accounts and internal processes.
- Understand each client’s specific requirements and provide appropriate advice where needed.
- Process supplier and client invoices accurately and promptly.
- Use internal systems to maintain accurate project data and manage each project efficiently throughout its lifecycle.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous project management experience within the localisation, media or a comparable industry.
- Understanding of dubbing and/or subtitling workflows.
- Full professional proficiency in French, equivalent to CEFR C1 or above, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English, as the role involves communication with international colleagues, clients and suppliers.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to coordinate requirements across different production services.
- Clear and effective communication with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and excellent client service.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach, with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Effective time-management and prioritisation skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability when responding to changing requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience using OOONA Project Manager or comparable project-management tools.
- Familiarity with subtitling specifications and subtitling tools.
