Position: Mandarin Language Expert
Type: Contractual
Compensation: $45 – $95/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and nuanced translation and interpretation between Mandarin and English across various business contexts.
- Review, edit, and proofread written materials to ensure linguistic quality and cultural relevance.
- Facilitate clear and effective verbal and written communication between teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Support localization of documents, presentations, and marketing materials for Mandarin-speaking audiences.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure messaging consistency and high standards of communication.
- Act as a cultural liaison to help the team navigate cross-cultural nuances and drive successful engagement.
Requirements
- Have native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin, with exceptional command of both written and spoken language.
- Possess strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Have proven experience in translation, interpretation, or language services for business or professional settings.
- Be detail-oriented with a passion for linguistic accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment.
