Role Description Marathi Translators & Proof-readers at Lekhak.app will translate a variety of documents from and into Marathi, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency with source content. Day-to-day work includes reviewing AI-generated translations, correcting errors, refining style and tone, and verifying terminology, especially in legal, technical, and handwritten or scanned materials. The role also involves collaborating with the product and language teams to improve translation quality, flag edge cases, and provide feedback on language models. This is a part-time, hybrid role based in New Delhi, with a mix of in-office collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong Marathi and English language proficiency, including grammar, spelling, and vocabulary.
- Experience in translation and proofreading of documents, preferably including legal, technical, or official records.
- Ability to work with scanned, handwritten, and low-quality source materials, maintaining high attention to detail.
- Comfort with digital tools, AI-driven workflows, and basic computer literacy for file handling and online collaboration.
- Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
- Relevant academic background in languages, translation, literature, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience with Indian language localization or document verification is an advantage.
