The main role of a subtitle editor is proofreads/edits subtitle file based on client’s requirement and guidelines. Editors are required to provide file that is qualified for delivery and on time. Editors are also required to evaluate freelancers’ performance and provide feedback when necessary.
Responsibilities: –
- Achieve the minimum daily capacity for an Bahasa Malaysia Subtitle Editor.
- Understand the client’s requirements and ensure deliverables are completed accordingly.
- Maintain minimal to no errors for completed deliverables.
- Edit and proofread English translation, subtitle or script files translated by freelancers or provided by clients.
- Liaise with and provide feedback to freelancers when necessary.
- Ensure top quality for all subtitle files and/or translation scripts.
- Communicate with team members or PIC of the projects regarding any concerns related to the assigned projects.
Skills & Experience required:-
- Minimum Diploma in Linguistics/Languages or a related field of study
- Candidates who do not meet the above minimum qualification MUST possess at least six(6) years of working experience in the related field
- Possess extensive knowledge on Bahasa Malaysia language and able to speak and write English fluently
- Required language skills: Malay, Indonesian & Korean (is a plus)
- Ability to accomplish tasks under intense time constraints
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Active, positive, self-motivated, and hardworking attitudes are required
