Prime Frontier Group is hiring a Technical Translator to join our team. This is an entry-level opportunity for an early-career linguist fluent in English and French who wants to build a career translating for technical industries.
About the role
You’ll translate and localize technical, legal, and strategic documents for Prime Frontier Group’s operations across multiple markets. The role is fully remote, working alongside teams across time zones.
What you’ll do
– Translate technical manuals, specifications, and surveys between English and French without losing technical meaning
– Translate and proofread reports
– Turn complex technical material into clear, professional writing that matches PFG’s voice
– Verify terminology through research and maintain a shared bilingual glossary
– Check every translated document for accuracy, grammar, and formatting before it goes to leadership or clients
What we’re looking for
– Native or near-native fluency in English and French, written and spoken
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
– 0-3 years of experience in translation or technical writing; this role is designed for early-career candidates
– Comfortable with Microsoft Office and terminology research tools
– Organized and able to manage multiple deadlines independently in a remote setting
Compensation and benefits
– Annual salary by location: GHS 30,000-37,200 | XOF 1,560,000-1,920,000 | RWF 3,000,000-3,720,000 | UGX 8,640,000-10,800,000 | ZMW 48,000-60,000 | KES 300,000-372,000 | ZAR 39,600-44,400
– Performance bonus of up to 20% of annual salary, tied to project delivery and results
– 100% remote, working with a team across multiple time zones
