Job Title: Translation Project Coordinator

Position Summary:
We seek a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Translation Project Coordinator with proven experience using CAT tools and supporting multilingual projects. In this dynamic role, you will assist in managing translation and localization projects from initiation through delivery, working closely with clients, linguists, and internal teams.
This role requires the candidate to be based in Colorado, as approximately 80% of the work is performed on-site at our [DTC-Office]. Candidates who do not reside in Colorado will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the end-to-end execution of translation and localization projects across multiple languages and formats.
- Assign tasks to linguists, proofreaders, editors, and desktop publishing teams using industry-standard CAT tools and TMS platforms.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery.
- Prepare and review project instructions, reference materials, and final deliverables.
- Maintain communication with clients and vendors to manage expectations and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform linguistic file preparation, including file conversions, pre-processing, and post-processing tasks.
- Support quality control and post-delivery processes, including gathering feedback and implementing improvements.
- Assist with vendor onboarding and maintain accurate project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Must reside in Colorado and be available to work on-site approximately 85% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in translation/localization project coordination or project management in an LSP or multilingual content environment.
- Hands-on experience with CAT tools such as memoQ, SDL Trados Studio, Smartcat, Memsource, or similar.
- Familiarity with Translation Management Systems (TMS) and file formats (e.g., .xliff, .sdlxliff, .json, .xml, .indd).
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Multilingual skills are a plus
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with localization engineering tasks and QA tools (e.g., Xbench, Verifika).
- Experience in client-facing roles or customer support within the language services industry.
- Basic knowledge of DTP, subtitling, or audio/video localization workflows.
