Role Description The Translator role at sudhan publicity is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. The Translator will be responsible for translating written and spoken content between designated source and target languages, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and consistent tone. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing scripts, advertisements, and marketing materials, collaborating with creative and production teams, and revising translations based on feedback. The Translator will also assist in proofreading translated content, maintaining glossaries and style guides, and supporting quality checks before final media release. The role involves working closely with internal stakeholders to meet deadlines and uphold the company’s content standards.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in at least two languages (including English and relevant regional languages), with the ability to translate accurately and clearly between them.
- Demonstrated ability in written and verbal communication, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation in both source and target languages.
- Attention to cultural nuances, idiomatic expressions, and localized terminology to ensure translations are context-appropriate.
- Experience working with media, advertising, or marketing content, with familiarity in adapting messages for different audiences and formats.
- Comfort with basic computer tools and document management; experience using translation or terminology management software is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with creative, production, and client-facing teams on-site.
- Relevant educational background in languages, translation, linguistics, literature, communication, or a related field is preferred.
