Locale Expert – Voice Talent Compensation Research
Project Overview:
We are conducting global market research to understand voice talent compensation norms and expectations. This project will involve gathering information on hourly rates, buyout structures, and emerging trends in the voice talent industry across various global locales.
Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Locale Expert to conduct research on voice talent compensation within Thailand. You will be responsible for reaching out to local studios, voice talent agencies, and industry experts to gather pricing information and insights into the current market dynamics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the local voice talent landscape and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research within Thailand to determine current voice talent hourly rates and buyout practices for various media, including but not limited to narration, advertising, and potentially AI use cases.
- Gather information on pricing differences between union and non-union talent, where applicable.
- Identify emerging trends in voice talent compensation within the locale.
- Compile findings into a clear and concise report.
- Communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal) with the project lead.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Native-level fluency in Thai.
- Business proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Familiarity with the local voice talent industry, potentially as a voice talent, in casting, studio operations, or related fields such as media transcription or international language operations.
- Strong research and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Preferred Background:
Individuals with experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas would be highly suitable:
- Voice-over artistry
- Audio production or studio management
- Casting for voice talent
- Media transcription (e.g., transcribing audio for various media)
- International language operations (e.g., translation, localization project management)
Project Duration:
This is a short-term contract position, estimated to require between 15 to 30 hours of work in total, spread across a preview cycle and final delivery.
Compensation:
$15.00 USD per hour
