iLangL offers “reliable CMS connectors to integrate with different CAT tools”. In this video, you’ll see my first experience with the cloud platform. How did the integration with Sitecore and Memsource go?

In this series, we look at the UX of all TMS tools in the localization industry. I’ve documented my whole journey with iLangL Cloud from the first home page visit, through setting up Memsource extension and pulling content from Sitecore, to finally importing translations back into CMS.

Andrej Zito

Hi everyone my name is Andrej Zito Welcome to the new episode of the TMS UX review series where we look at the design and user experience of using all the TMS tools that we have in the localization industry. And in this video, I’m going to share with you my experience of using iLangL for the very first time.

Andrej Zito

Now, for those of you who are new to the series, my goal in this series is very simple. I’m trying to translate a simple word document and a simple spreadsheet using the platform that I pick. And the way that I pick it. The way that I picked the theme is that they review next is this one. So let’s let the dice speak for this one. So it’s one of those 28 Good start 12345. And we’ve got number 18 1-234-567-8910 1112 1314 1516 1718. I lango. What is that thing? public clouds. Okay, so I guess Today we’re going to review or by Lendl, I have absolutely no idea what kind of Themis This is, I don’t even like the main, it’s weird. Here’s an official disclaimer that I usually like to put in this videos. Everything I say in this video is just my own personal opinion about my experience about how I feel about the design, how intuitive it is for me, by no means Does this mean that this is my recommendation whether you should use this TMS or not, you know, everybody has different needs.

Andrej Zito

So you have to do more research on whether the tool is right for you or not. Probably you wouldn’t make your decision solely based on the design and the user experience and the UI. I alone. doesn’t even come up into suggestions. Okay. I lengel need to speed up website localization. Yeah, I think it offers you reliable, seamless connectors to integrate with different cap tools. Is it actually even going to be possible to submit something or do they connect only with Oh, oh, what did I get myself into? Okay, What year is it? No, oh my gosh, this website is terrible first impression. It is your 2020. Okay. At least they have the carousel show.

Andrej Zito

Let’s start from the first slide. Okay. So first of all, what I’m thinking is, of course, the style and everything. I don’t know if I’ll be able to explain this looks very old fashioned. Like this whole left the menu on the left. To me it’s very unusual. For for a homepage. Normally, you would see this in inside the UI, but I guess it’s not such a bad thing if it’s different. But I definitely don’t like is these things here? Like these buttons, I don’t know what they’re supposed to represent. The text is barely readable. So maybe it is the intention to have these all these buttons be not very readable because there’s a lot of them. So that actually makes sense.

Andrej Zito

That this was a full button could look very weird. Together. What are we searching for search results. Click connector. It opens a new tab. Whoa, whoa, whoa, please. Oh my god, what is this? Is this actually a product or what is this? content for connector? WordPress connector. Oh, what have WordPress. So is ilevel just a connector between CMS and cat tools? It looks like can I finally check this thing? Okay. So these things what do they do? Okay, so here it looks like I’m not sure if you can see it. Yeah. So you can see that but um bom bom bom bom pom. You can see that the right border on this whole left panel has a black as a black color, but that border is removed on the active element, which in case of the homepage looks like it’s like going into it. Sure, remember how taps how quick tabs are done.

Andrej Zito

That’s when usually want to have the active tab, blend into the main content so that it looks like the active tab is actually part of the content. I’m not sure if I explained this correctly. But when I go to services and see Services has a white background, and there’s no padding absolutely so the text is super super long. But I don’t want to go through our pages Hello we are I lingo. website interactive language localization for you. website interactive language localization for you don’t get it is it supposed to be the benefit company owes? Whoa. Is this for real? Continue owes okay.

Andrej Zito

I haven’t seen this form of the word yet. Is it actually word or search instead for continue owes? This word may be misspelled here. Of course, it’s misspelled. That’s so stupid. And it’s just it’s the first thing I think this is the first slide that you see. Okay, great. You have a typo in your main benefit is integration central platform. Boring. Hey, let me move to the next slide. Translation previous service. new feature translation preview. Okay. Okay, it could be useful to see how it looks like translated before you push it back to your web server. What do we have here? Above vast. Wait. Why does it cover all the things?

Andrej Zito

That’s so weird. It shows so many things. We’ll get to choose a bunch of things. Oh, they’re actually repeated. I see now. Okay. CMS integration support, Drupal, WordPress. And they have WordPress, maybe I’ll be able to do something with it. What do we have here? Next, we are already integrated with transitioning systems and sourcing. Cute Cute. Like I said my account. And it’s about us. I Lego bV. What is bV Is that the one that used in Germany. Like CO, where she was offering all the primary integration services and seamless connectors that incorporate wide range of translation tools and CMS. Customer satisfaction. Comparisons believe that customer success is our success. Therefore, all our products and truths are aimed improving customers workflow and reducing localization efforts by means of technology. Got it. So you have the cloud, connect with your CMS content scheme. Manager. Okay. Through API, you connected this one and then through the DMS is the translators access.

Andrej Zito

It’s one thing that I want to point out if you remember. Last thing, last time, when I looked at lokalize I told you what I really like was the graphic style on their homepage was very consistent. And it fit together. This thing here doesn’t fit together. So this illustration, I’m not sure if it’s a stock something or somebody actually drew it for them. It doesn’t fit with the rest. This whole thing just looks totally messy to me. So okay, so the connectors are right aligned. But the title What is this? What interest is the bullet the list items is on the left side. That’s art. And because we have so many things listed here, some of them even kind of like overlap, you can see that Drupal Logo Logo goes above dnn, I don’t even know what the end is. This is too close, like there’s no space between these things. Because just somebody just mashed it together.

Andrej Zito

Then this think, the right or the the red one, I would maybe prefer to use blue color for the cloud, since that’s your primary color. I understand. You can see below here is blue. So I don’t know why this is red. Maybe for better contrast, but against this, the blue should still be good. And then these things, I don’t know. seems too saturated on the cloud. channel one, three dots to n. This is very mathematical. I’m not sure if normal people would understand this, maybe. logins, you know, for example, like these arrows, like they’re all bunched together.

Andrej Zito

So you don’t you barely see it. It’s like somebody did this in that even in Visio. Maybe this is something that you would put together in our PowerPoint. Just a very tiny copy, like this thing here. I don’t know why it goes like this, and then pick up you know what I mean? It’s like this thing here. This line here. It’s I don’t know, it’s just an a CT. Quick, awkward. So then there’s API. So here you can see for example, like here, the connectors. Okay, well, stupid idea. So this is supposed to be the API here of these tools. There’s more. There’s more space here a little bit. That still feels super clunky, together. Like this poor guy.

Andrej Zito

The altar is like right next to all the CMS is another manager, they have the show something which I don’t know if it’s supposed to represent the UI of the tool, but it’s just super small, like you can not see anything. Right? Is what just put the logo there. Like, like this one, like the shape? Because this doesn’t show me much. And yeah, like I was saying the the graphic style of the drawings here. It looks like like a pencil drawing. I don’t know how it’s called. I’m not gonna I’m not an artist, but it just doesn’t fit this whole thing. It’s a it’s a big mess. And then, as I was saying, when we looked into the services, like this, like the sentences are super super long, because there’s absolutely no padding.

Andrej Zito

How would it look like adding on to it? Being a mom being putting on everything. Let’s do what? Zero? person still not enough. Walker not curbing death. The other thing as well. But yeah, there’s a lot of whitespace that’s why I don’t like or maybe that’s the reason why people don’t use sidebar, I mean, the menu, the navigational menu on the left side. If this wasn’t there, then maybe the side would look better and you can squeeze the content into the central zip sorted doesn’t go all around. can put it back because this is should be reviewing the website as it is. I mean, even here, I would say that, that I’m even here I would say that just the space is not that much. Cuz he’s social media I don’t even want to go there

Andrej Zito

Okay, we have a video I don’t know why we had the video so low actually I would say that the video just from the from the thumbnail the video looks cleaner than this mess. I don’t know why the video is lower than the previous picture but okay let’s look at the video

Andrej Zito

Alright, thanks. You must be somewhere from St. Central Eastern Europe or Russia based on the accent. Anyway, the video looks definitely much cleaner than this thing. testimonials with this this thing supposed to be is this like, What? Oh, Yossi actually thought of this was either a slider or something to indicate where the testimonial is that we have. We have that right here. So then, why do they put this black? circle here? I have no idea. That’s a more custom one, bro. What are you doing? Webster never heard. Positive scandanavia. Translation never heard. When we gone? What is this? Okay, now we have dashed lines. For enterprise. Okay, change the code when I hover. I would actually think it would be better if it was blue all the way. I don’t know why it has to activate if it’s not a clickable thing. Just to display enterprise speed up translation flow, cut costs, increase productivity, turn on continuous acquisition move more.

Andrej Zito

I don’t want to read more things about this part. So yeah, I just don’t like this whole thing. The text is super small to communicate the benefits. I would imagine something bigger. Like you know, last time when we reviewed localize you had those bigger benefits on the left side and maybe some image on the right side? This is a very small read more case. So we have the links. Where Okay, here we have a link in blue. Oh, I think it’s okay. So this is now grayish because I think I already collect the services. I’m not sure if I like this. I don’t think that people are actually using this anymore. That the visiting links have a different color. I mean, under unless you’re on Google’s website to see the things that he visited. I don’t know. Especially this one like once it’s visited.

Andrej Zito

The The color is like you don’t even know it’s link because it’s almost the same color as normal text. And now I see that we have the thing here as well Circle Circle Circle. So Oh, wait. Oh, it activates is it based on how far I’m scrolled? Or where my mouse is? seconds reacts to the mouse. Interesting. Interesting. not a huge fan of it is anything else? So this one I don’t like it’s super tiny. Read more. Oh, what is it your word hover? Why does it move to the front? And it loses the color when you hover. So again, the same thing as with the already visited link. I don’t know why they do it. People, why do you do this? What I’ve seen with the arrows is that once you hover, the arrows kind of like move a little bit to the right. But this is super weird to me. Okay.

Andrej Zito

Anyway, we’re almost at the end supported CMS connectors, we already saw the list above. They’ll call support transition management system the same thing? Yeah, I definitely don’t like this part. I don’t know if I can explain why. But okay, so we are using this style of this line and the stupid circle above. But this, so let’s say that it’s a section right? Here, we have another section. So these two sections are just a bunch of logos. And I don’t know the section on its own is super small. I would maybe rather see this combined somehow into one thing.

Andrej Zito

Instead of introducing this as a separate section. I don’t know the whole website looks. We are very, very amateur. So I’m not even going to go into this. My question is, can we actually try it out? Or how do I get it? I think I need to put on my marketing shoes or LinkedIn shoes and try to dig out the people for employees. Let’s see founder. Oh, certainly. Ukraine person. That’s not a bad. That’s why that’s why the design didn’t get much love. Because it’s, I assume mostly people who put this together. Yeah, maybe I’ll contact Mariana and Sergei to I messaged Sergey, and he got back to me pretty fast. We had a discussion about my purpose of this video, he was so nice to me to share with me a demo accounts of the platform, and also Sitecore.

Andrej Zito

And that’s one thing that I have to share with you. iLangL is mainly a connector, it doesn’t give you the option to upload the files. So my main goal that I do in this series is you know, try to get a document and a spreadsheet translated within the platform only. That wasn’t possible with eyelash angle. So what Sergey did was he set up a Sitecore account for me, and Sitecore I’ve never used Sitecore before as well. So I had to do some research on that. And but basically, to me setcolor was kind of like a WordPress. It’s a content management system where you can build your website, and this is what I did to mirror the purpose of this video. Yes, finally, finally edited finally. Okay. So this is how I got the demo site or site core. And I edit these two pages here, Darkest Dungeon about and DLC, which pretty much mirrored the content that we have in the documents that we used to translate with the previous TMS tools.

Andrej Zito

So simple text with couple of links and some formatting and then we have a table here Where am I? Did I change Oh, it’s still loading the page all this site core thing it’s so slow Okay, so yeah, here we have it right now Darkest Dungeon is a hardcore heroes foes the links actually do work. They go to the English thing. This looks fine. And then we have a DLC thing right here. still loading still loading, still loading. still loading, loading. And here we have the table or dark extension DLC. Nice Su. Yes, I think I can pause here because the next step now that I have this setup is for me to finally connect to eila angles platform and see how I can hold the content from here. Okay, here we are. What time is it? It is 1143 it is Thursday November 26 Interactive language localization Yeah, that’s why it’s iLangL the name is very bad.

Andrej Zito

So this is the this is the link that I got from from Sergei you can already see some issues there. Can you get there from here you’re another homepage there’s no link to the cloud walk in various maybe to work separately. Anyway this is what I got. So you can immediately see that the water this is the footer it’s not at the bottom I think it’s called flushed flushing the footer to be always at the bottom so it completely destroys the the the first impression otherwise what I also don’t like while we’re here is the fact that I mean this logo is not aligned with this thing. That’s a little bit of disturbance anything else when it comes to the forum, I mean login page login, is that a link? It is a language leads to the same page this is again a link to the same thing.

Andrej Zito

So no idea why it is like that login page, just the way it’s typed. Seems like it’s more like a death thing. It’s not something for normal people. Or it’s more like I don’t know, I don’t know what it has to do. Count login. I don’t know why changes the color on hover. Because it’s not an actual link email address password login remember login Reset Password I don’t think I even want to spend too much time on this you can see it’s very basic think nothing wrong with that there’s a gradient I think on the button I mean you can get the idea so let’s see if I can get in one thing that I have to say is a thing that Sergei wrote to me that he already set up Sitecore in the platform which is not great because the whole thing is for me to figure it out but we’ll see both

Andrej Zito

Okay, here we are first time ever I like Al Open Content channels okay so what is a channel is the channel okay it’s your channel is like a source from which actions Why does it say memo queue provide feedback Why is the font so we are not sure if you can see it. You should be able to like the font here is like pixelated How do I call this? It’s not sharp. I don’t know why. That’s really weird. That’s just the side think. Okay, let me look at this first impression. So I already told you about the fact maybe let me move this down a little bit. And clean this already told you about water that needs to be flushed because then this part is like like what is what does that even have to do with anything I told you about this thing that it’s not aligned. I don’t like that at all. And we are not on my channels. So, wait, why am I start even starting there? Is that the main page with the channels? Okay.

Andrej Zito

Seems to be a very, very how to call it. Very raw UI. Active channels, inactive channels. Okay, so I have a challenge for site core URL connector, CMS version blah, blah, blah. delete, delete. What is this think? clone connector? Why does it keep flushing? Okay, that’s probably my mouse. Edit channel. meme service. seamless integration. This plugin seamlessly integrates CMS contents with amp service club. That’s good. memo queue. I want to try to add a new one. Select connector Sitecore. Eight. Internet connection. You know what maybe to make things easier, I will not bother with setting up the channel from scratch. But just connecting to the CMS. I don’t think I even have the I don’t know if I have all the information. Let’s just focus on the TMS part.

Andrej Zito

So from what I understood, and this is supposed to be just main connector, is that this is like a middle where I think that’s what Sergei used to say something that sits between the CMS where you have your content like site core, and the TMS. So I’m not sure if the meme source and memo queue can directly tap into the CMS is to have a direct integration, I assume? No, because otherwise, why would you need iron link? l. It was possible. So now my only thing is to figure out how to connect it to my memsource account. Think Sergei also set up a demo account for me? Sure, think it might be this one. But let’s see, I want to connect it to my account that I already have. up Oh, okay, that’s there’s a dashboard.

Andrej Zito

How do you add these things? Stay away from me to edit content channels? Oh, yeah, I think I didn’t even talk about much about the rest of the UI. I don’t know if I have some limited version, because this is a demo account. The menu here seems very limited. My channels when it comes to this part. So this I assume is supposed to look like a tab. Typically, when you have the tabs, you want to have, let’s say one tab to tab and then maybe the active one, which might have a different color or like be highlighted to show that the app is selected. So this one just doesn’t have anything to the negative ones. But it’s pretty obvious. I don’t know if it was necessary to to have the taps because taps are actually not implemented as taps. Tap would be if it was maybe like this. And then going back to this think cannot draw straight line but you get the idea.

Andrej Zito

So this would be the active tab. Then there would be the inactive tab. Right now it’s kind of like I don’t know It’s weird. It’s just the line around technically better separated from the inactive channels. I guess I guess you can say that it is working. I don’t know why it’s the the the font is that big. But I mean, okay, Add New. Again, the alignment is we’re, I think if we have the paps here, and these are the channels that you can then add, I would imagine that the linemen would be here, up somewhere on the pop. And the rest is just a table with some actions. Normally, I’m used to seeing actions on the right side. But I think in this case, this is more like like, like information that’s not necessary and doing some actions about your channel is the most important thing. So I think it makes sense.

Andrej Zito

And you can see memoQ, memsource and then we have something like editing what was this one for? This one was for cloning. Okay, and this is DVD okay. Yeah. That’s that now the only thing is that I need to figure out where you add the memsource think it may be here source Okay, this is this is where you already integrate with bank rec think where do I set up new web source? I know the target sent me I have no idea where you can add new things that’s so weird. Why is this the same thing? Why is it the link to the same page that I’m on? I don’t get it. You’re wise very very poor war. Okay, here we have some Okay, which is sort of integration plug in. Get us all your jobs and projects. Right. Okay. This looks kind of nice in the picture.

Andrej Zito

How to enable and configure memsource plugin. Oh, there we go. Channel Settings. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. Journalist voted I think we went to home right? Yes, I think we want the home. It is part of the home. Yep. wine. Okay. Oh, okay. Content channel. So this is where you configure the CMS in this case site core configurations. Can we just use default notifications export trigger you can see that this is very hacky This looks like a function or something. To set up vacations. By way import automation. dresslink. Extensions memsource swissquote. There we go. memsource clock. Okay. Let me disable memo cue.

Andrej Zito

Okay, good. It went away and now. Bottom, bottom, bottom, answers clouds. Bam source integration. Can I actually just type it in what I just typed here. Language mapping memsource integration configuration, language mapping. Okay, I think I should still comment on the design right that’s what we’re doing right here. Looks very Spartan state enable all disable all both buttons are like mashed together there’s no space this thing here it’s not vertically centered What else do we have here? Warning glands which could mismatch system languages added pinic what kind of language is that? set from sort Sitecore probably that’s coming from Sitecore right English French Russian Spanish okay we can leave it as it is now enabled bilingual expert at what stage would you want bilingual expert and aware in Aisle angle there’s also no tooltip here IP filter list source languages English Yes. default template. This is a template on default workflow require Why did the fuck is this what is this stupid think?

Andrej Zito

So first of all, it’s not aligned correctly. Second thing is like even the checkbox in the text is not aligned on the same line. But why does it say the state is a question disable says like like if you want to disable is this now disabled or enabled? Because when I click enable all it marks everything but it’s like I’m saying yes to disabling default workflow step four dashboard. What? Oh, it is disabled. What the fuck? See if I enable all the all the workflows, which are these steps, and I cannot select anything, which means it’s disabled. Oh, geez. That’s the translation. Default workflow when there are no workflow, translation templates. Optional templates. Jesus.

Andrej Zito

I think these are templates from Sitecore. Which I don’t know much about. I’ll just leave it as it is. Preview settings memsource integration configuration confirmation. Available languages Submit. Going to work. We will see. But no, no, no, no. But what up? Okay. workflow. So now projects one Sitecore demo Okay. Now let’s figure out how to work with this without using the guide. Request translations. English. So I content Good, good. Good. Good. Good. Good. Good. Good. dashboard. This is more like a summary of what I’m working on. Actions import. Was it like import translations back? projects can I delete the project somehow? insufficient rights What the fuck?

Andrej Zito

I think that’s the that’s a pretty maybe the previous one that was already there set up and after I changed the names there’s integration I still don’t know how to interesting okay. And what we want is about launch. Me we have about and DLC Yay. We found the content get Project Settings okay New Project yorkist on Sharon Sitecore no this project is automatically exported or imported from set core. I’ll say expert quest delivery date I think these are the fields that are in memsource so we’re gonna say next Friday bottle service oh my god what is this drop down? Why is it so tiny? All content in one job? No. Target languages.

Andrej Zito

Okay, French. Spanish Russian. Next. closes your request summary. Did it did it did it did it? Did it did it? Did it? Did it confirm and create order? See working. Exporting content 100%. of my country a work project? Does it link? Yeah, this leads to memsource. Oh, oh, we have our content. Oh my god. Great. Okay. This is the beauty of integrations. Her source language English started blah, blah, blah. Just sticks to statistics are not a word count is just a number of what items Why is it for? No. Okay. target language. Branch jobs. One job two jobs. Wait, what title monitor? can maybe it’s playing something extra? Which is okay. I mean, okay. Oh, here we have the status is the status pulled from toward job six. That should be correct, right.

Andrej Zito

Status near this correct, right, we have about and we have a DLCs for three languages. So now that I switched to my memsource did you do it’s there. It’s there. It’s there. It’s created. And this is my note that I put the nice nice nice right next. Dark is dungeon from Sitecore. Boom, boom. Okay. It’s a hardcore RPG. By the way. What? Why did it split the segments like this? About the break there? Oh, it did? Fuck. Oh, yeah. In this certificate. Okay. That’s just how poorly I put content into it. So let’s do it. One more. More time. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. Yep. Yep. Looks good now. Okay, so now I’m going to do quickly. I’m going to quickly translate the whole things using Mt. Okay, so the status is I have machine translated all the strings in these six things. And as you can see, the status is completed.

Andrej Zito

So let’s see how it reflects here. Let me run iLangL. Yep. Good, good. Good. Everything shows completed. And so does it mean now I can import. Most of the reports it could report I wonder report only per language complete. Okay, just shows the status of the other jobs. So let’s try import. But why does it say import Darkest Dungeon from Sitecore? r1 we reporting back to Sitecore. Am I going to overwrite things or what? And why is this thing not blue? Again? Everything before we used to be blue here can filter out. Import and publish Yes, please. port and publish. Okay. I’m wondering if it’s going to work.

Andrej Zito

Okay. Looks like something’s happening. Progress Bar is spilling in. I’m excited. I’m excited. I still don’t know how to show the language versions in the Sitecore. 60%. Nature 60% we are pro green. Thanks, guys. What does it talk to? Well, what does it say it well, thanks. But it’s six jobs. Right. What was it times two? Oh, it’s the outbox thing, right. I have no idea what that means. This leads back to memsource type Sitecore success source. Target memsource. Okay, so I guess we imported back. Now my question is how do I see here? Oh, oh, look, look look look up. Hey, I got it back. See French Spanish and Russian. Whoa, nice. Oh, I’m switching to France. French Oh, is here is here. Put the turkeys dungeon s. PJ. Okay, you’re here that has the links. You’re probably some some missing space but that’s not the purpose of this demonstration.

Andrej Zito

So everybody chill. Oh. I think it should be even published right? preview. Can we get a preview? Oh, it is friend. This friend. We did it. We did it. We heard back. And we even have the DLC. Nice. Oh, nice. Nice. Nice. Llamas kitty. Good, we did it. We shall ignore the rest because I’m not an expert in Sitecore. But the thing is that the Durand trip was actually successful. So what do we did we have one active channel, active channel is connection is tapped into your CMS system. In this case Sitecore. An only bought it if you had a connector, you would set up like one CMS connected to one TMS. But from what we’ve seen that you can set up here in the settings of the channel, you can have one channel connected to multiple TMS. If you remember in the beginning, we also had memo Q and memsource at the same time.

Andrej Zito

So right now I just only wanted to focus memsource the integration setting up meme source with my own account was quite simple. You just type it in and then you NAB some of the fields from Sitecore to memsource. Mainly the languages. And then what I did was then I went here I don’t know why these things are on the same level in the menu. Doesn’t matter. So dashboard is more like where you can see the list of things. You are already created. But in order to initiate the pull pulling the content from the CMS, you need to use request translations. So here, we just check this apps into the site core structure, which is where you can select, which are the things that you want to request translation for. So I select these two things. And then you just set up the project settings, which are the fields, which I think are matching memsource, project settings, and then it just gets created automatically.

Andrej Zito

So the integration was working pretty smoothly. The UI course is very raw, I don’t know better word to say, if I don’t want to swear too much. So for example, this thing, I don’t like, go away. This thing to me, like when it goes to this, like open content channel, like the progress bar that shows there briefly. I don’t know why this there doesn’t make sense. If you have many open multiple open, if you have multiple active channels open. Do you want the progress bar to look like that? Or do you just want to show the the UI and not not blurred out or like darken it? And just show the progress bar here somewhere or maybe like an icon here? know, like the loading icon that could be here. Or let’s say I don’t know how the loading icon looks like bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah.

To that will be loading the, the channels. I don’t know why it looks like that. So what did I talk about already? So I think I already talked about this thing, right. I talked about the tabs, talk about the actions. And that’s pretty okay. Active Agnew, one of the things that I haven’t mentioned yet is that these two buttons have the same style, but they’re not aligned. Which I yeah, and also the alignment like with this book that I already mentioned, it’s, it’s not good. Also, this, this this thing here, like I totally don’t get it, like why does there need to be a link to the same page when it comes to the menu? So I think set the chord memsource for entre? Is that how it is? I don’t know if this was added by Sergey for me. Probably I don’t know where the name comes from. Because I can’t see where I would set up here.

Andrej Zito

Anyway, we don’t have to crack everything right now. So this is like a link in the menu which corresponds to the truth at Channel repro translation. So we are here What did we do we check the academy let me go quickly through the settings content channel. So here I think this form looks pretty much better. We still have the same thing here where the PAP is just the line but I think it looks cleaner because there’s no line below that when I go back the channels. Yeah, like this is the line and then we also have this line for the table. So that’s why this looks better, I would say but it’s still not the Yeah, yeah, it definitely gives the impression that it should look like a pap. I mean, it’s not bad like this one is better. Name URL, UTC. difference. APR publishing the source internet connection. Yes.

Andrej Zito

Here, you set up the connection to the server, ship connection, select portal. I mean, this menu looks pretty good, I would say. I don’t know why these things are green new idea, configurations. This is where it gets, this is where I’m just going to be a little bit. Like the space here is very small. current configuration default configuration. Here, we have tabs within the tabs. For example, this thing as the same, these titles have the same size. But I assume that content data sources and content types are subset of this, right? Because this whole think, is about the content channel. So I would soom that these should be smaller font size, the the hierarchy of the information is bad. Here, data sources, what is that? What connection? content types?

Andrej Zito

Yeah, so another thing that you can see here, I don’t even know where to. There’s so many things like this base here. And see here, it’s like this. Here, it’s like this. I don’t know why, because it’s the same thing, right? You have the title or whatever that is. And then you have a table below that. Like the structure of this, this thing, and this thing is the same. Why does want to have more space than the other one. So because of the buttons, for the B multiplications already talked about sports trigger. This trigger has no data. Yeah, I don’t know why we have this toggle buttons, which allow you to edit something. I have no idea why it’s not just because the Edit only gives you the option to or you can also enable disable. I don’t know why the actions are not just part of a table. In some actions, column. Y, you need two views of the same table, one that allows you to only view things and the other one allows you to do something about it. That doesn’t make sense to me.

Andrej Zito

Also, like we have bunch of green, bunch of blue buttons here. Automation engines, this is where you set up the think, again, the hierarchy is wrong here. Like the extensions. It looks like a tile or maybe like even the link because it’s blue, but okay, they’re they’re not using blue as links. But all of these things here are extensions. So they’re technically underneath the extensions, but the font size again, the same. So that is not good. That is not good boys and girls. So that’s that when it comes to this part. This will be the last thing that I’ll do the dashboard. The dashboard actually looks nice, I would say oh, now we have delivered the good. The dashboard looks kind of okay. I’m not sure. Well, this I’m not sure if this is just the way that I set it up. Because only selected translation as the workflow. But doesn’t the workflow actually mean? Like transition review client review? Aren’t this just the steps in the workflow? I don’t know.

Andrej Zito

This is this is where I could be just missing things. But don’t you want to have an overview of all your projects across different workflows, and maybe just have the information about what workflow it is, as a metadata for the project? I don’t know. Then here we have a table which sorts your projects. This is the first time that I’ve seen something like this, where you have sorting by information, but this is another header, or that column, which would contain later when the project was created or when it’s due. But the information is structured this way. And I think that actually like it. I have never thought of that. Because if you had this information in each separate column, then it might be too much. But it might might be more also easily readable. I don’t know. Because right now, if you think about it, we have a bunch of space here. That’s not used.

Andrej Zito

But I mean, I like it. I do like it. projects do work for translation. That’s good. Part of the leg here is, of course, the course. And it shows the shows the status right here. I guess if you’re using multiple PMS, for different content, maybe it’s good that you have this one dashboard, where you can see all the different projects can refresh the status, which pulls it from the status from the TMS. So that’s good target languages. That’s fine. Actions import report. I mean, I’m not a fan of the two buttons being stuck together. But it’s not that big of a deal when it comes to requesting the translation. English. Select content. Yeah, I don’t know. Again, it’s the spacing here. Whoops. It’s the spacing here. It’s just like, different. I don’t know the whole form in the UI would use would use some, some more love. This thing? I’m not sure if it’s if the design is coming from Sitecore or if it was designed by IOM bill.

Andrej Zito

But it’s useable? Sure. You can get things done, I don’t know. And then when you select something, let’s say we select these two things, we go next. Project Settings. Oh, I can put it into Oh, nice. Pause the list of the projects from before. Nice. So you can name I think there’s not much wrong here. But many wrong things here is just the name of a project, do you really need that much space? Maybe you could. Maybe you could have like, I don’t know, some information here and some information here. But maybe it’s not responsive. I don’t know. You could still code it that way. Like for example, this No, like, if you really need to type something, you have so much more so much width, that the texts will be super long. And that of course you have the requested delivery the delivery date, and because it’s just a bait, the field is small. So it really doesn’t look very neat.

Andrej Zito

It’s like your rehab fuels that go full width. And then you have these two things which are not full width. And I already mentioned the fact that this drop down, I don’t know, for what reason, just looks so teeny tiny. Compared to this one, like it’s still the same field. So I mean, not the same field, but that you have the same height as this one. This one. These two have the same height. This one is super tiny. tach reframes the commands. Oh, you can even do that. Nice. Yeah, okay. That’s that and I think that’s it right when When it comes to this thing, though, my conclusion is that we got it working functionality wise, we did get it everything. So I was very happy for that because it was the first time that I saw integration test during my tests. So we got the content into memsource successfully. I machine translated it right there. And then we even made it work back to Sitecore. And you can see this is the crunch preview.

Andrej Zito

So functionality wise, it worked just fine. The thing is that the whole UI is, is very, very raw. It’s like very techie like nobody put effort into that. This was a long one. Thank you very much for watching the whole video. If you got to this point, definitely please consider subscribing if you’d like the series, I will be doing next PMS in hopefully two weeks. So probably around Christmas. If you have any questions or if you have any commentary about what I said about the tool or you disagree or you agree with me or you have something more that you noticed, please feel free to comment below in the video. I would be very happy to respond to you and maybe we can have a discussion about that. And in the meantime, I will see you in the next video. Bye bye.
