American Translation Partners (ATP) is a well-known provider of interpreters, translators, and language experts. We are currently seeking ASL, Chinese (all variants), Portuguese (European & Brazilian), Cape Verdean, Burmese, Nepalese, Kyrgyz, Somali, Yoruba, Kazakh, & Hebrew interpreters and translators for medical, legal, and insurance assignments throughout New England. The greatest demand is for In-Person HEALTHCARE INTERPRETERS in Boston, Massachusetts.
The types of projects will include:
• Consecutive Healthcare Interpreting for Medical assignments for emergency rooms, independent medical exams, physical exams, and other types of medical procedures
• Legal interpreting in the consecutive and simultaneous mode
• Educational Interpreting for Schools regarding parent-teacher meetings, IEPs, Psycho-Educational Evaluations and other types of scholastic encounters
• Audio transcription / translation, summarization of telephone taps, body wires, and focus groups
• Document translation
• Expert / fact witness testimonials
• Insurance assignments for recorded statements, and examinations under oath
Requirements:
· Native or primary language fluency in one of the languages listed above
· Written and oral comprehension in English
· Legal to work in the USA
· Preference towards those linguists with Certification by a national, valid, credible, and vendor-neutral certification program for interpreters and/or 40HRS+ of an interpreting course
Other helpful abilities:
• Specialization in education, legal, medical or other areas of consecutive and simultaneous interpreting
• Educational background in linguistics
• State and Federal Court Certifications, American Translation Association (ATA) accreditation, or any other kinds of professional language training
