About This Team

The lululemon Localization team leads the organization-wide content translation strategy and localization initiatives, supporting cross-functional partners to drive operational excellence and enable business success across markets. The Copywriter brings lululemon’s brand voice to life for audiences in Hong Kong. This role is responsible for creating original copy, adapting global messaging through translation and transcreation, and ensuring consistent, compelling storytelling across all guest and employee touchpoints.

Core Responsibilities

  • Write clear, engaging, and on-brand Hong Kong Chinese copy across digital, brand, retail, social, product education, and other channels.
  • Transcreate and adapt global English content into culturally relevant Hong Kong Chinese messaging while preserving lululemon’s brand voice, intent, and emotional impact.
  • Create localized content that resonates with Hong Kong audiences while maintaining consistency with global brand standards, tone, and manner.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and quality across all content deliverables through thoughtful editing, proofreading, and refinement.
  • Collaborate closely with brand, marketing, localization, and cross-functional partners to deliver cohesive and impactful creative work.
  • Provide linguistic expertise, cultural insights, and strategic recommendations to regional and global stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and evolve Hong Kong Chinese language style guides, tone-of-voice guidelines, terminology, and messaging frameworks.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of Hong Kong consumer behavior, market trends, and cultural nuances to strengthen brand relevance and storytelling.
  • Manage multiple content and localization projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Native-level proficiency in Hong Kong Chinese, with a strong command of language nuances, cultural context, and local market trends.
  • Professional fluency in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in copywriting, content creation, transcreation, or brand storytelling, preferably within retail, lifestyle, sportswear, or digital industries.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across a variety of content formats, channels, and brand voices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while consistently delivering high-quality work on time.
  • Strong understanding of brand communication, creative development processes, and consumer engagement strategies.
  • Deep appreciation for storytelling, creativity, and crafting meaningful content that inspires and connects with audiences.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy, consistency, and language quality.

work arrangement

In-person collaboration and/or office-based work is necessary or important for the role. Work is mainly performed onsite, 4-5 days per week depending on role requirements.
