What is localization or L10N? Let’s take Hollow Knight as an example, in this wonderful game, you have many different locations with different enemies. Every location has its own history, the rules and the tactics that you need to apply to and adjust to if you want to succeed in that location. And in a way, that’s what localization is about. So what does it practically mean? It means that if you want to go sell your product in different regions around the world, in different countries in different cultures, like I don’t know, Japan, Brazil, or France or Africa, you need to understand the cultural nuances of those countries and you need to adapt your product or service or the way you communicate what you have to offer to those people respecting their rules in their culture, and of course, speaking in their own language, so that’s what is localization about.
